Job Specific, Pre-Employment Physical Ability Testing
This is a test designed for the company to help ensure a worker has the physical abilities to perform the job tasks safely. The test is developed from job descriptions and consultations with the employer.
Worksite Ergonomic Design
This is an on-site assessment of the interaction between the employees and the work station to establish the correct fit in order to prevent or reduce musculoskeletal injury. It includes recommendation to modify the work station, postural changes for employee, and instruction on stretches.
Job Site Analysis
This is a comprehensive, objective analysis of the required body postures for exertion, movement repetitions, lifting demands, and vibratory forces a workers experiences to complete job demands. A formal report is developed that describes the relationship of the worker and the job tasks in order to match employees to the right job. It includes written recommendations that focus on prevention of potential injuries and accommodates an employee's injury-related limitation.
Job Description/ADA Consultation
A therapist will assist the employer in writing job descriptions by performing a comprehensive analysis of a job and then identifying essential functions and marginal functions. Assistance can be provided in interpretation and application of ADA guidelines.
TB Testing
Mercy Memorial provides assistance with policy development and screening for worksites that have tuberculosis screening requirement.
Respirator Fit Program
Mercy Memorial provides assistance with policy development and fitting for those worksite employees required to wear respirators.
