Specialized Therapy Services

Occupational, physical, respiratory, and speech therapies are offered by The HomeCare Connection. Staff members will assess the patient's needs and work with the patient and his physician to develop an individualized treatment program. The therapist will set goals for each patient and monitor progress toward reaching those goals.

Occupational Therapy

An occupation therapist guides The HomeCare patient on the road to independent living. The therapist teaches proper hygiene, dressing, and feeding techniques. In cooperation with other family members, the therapist may modify the patient's environment to simplify daily living duties.

Physical Therapy

Mobility, physical strength, prosthetic training, and designing exercise programs are concerns of the physical therapist. The therapist works closely with the patient and family member to provide a safe home environment where the patient can improve strength and endurance.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapist assist the patient with speech, language, vocal, and communication rehabilitation. The therapist counsels family members about communicative loss and probable speech outcomes.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy staff members provide equipment and instructions concerning medication, safety precautions, equipment care, and emergency procedures.
