Occupational Therapy
Registered occupational therapists focus on maximizing an individual's skills and abilities through evaluation and treatment of various disorders including physical impairments, neurological impairments, and cognitive and emotional impairments. Occupational therpaists will customize a treatment program that will focus on improving a person's functional ability to perform daily activities. This is done through various means including, functional and meaningul tasks, exercise, manual therapy and physcial agent modalities. Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants work closely together, along with physical therapists and speech therapists when necessary, to provide a comprehensive team approach to therapy.
