Mental Health

The Mercy Memorial Hospital Family Center provides a full range of outpatient mental health and substance abuse services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our services include:

• Diagnostic evaluation and consultation
• Individual, group, and marital therapy
• Family therapy
• Medication assessment and management
• Stress reduction and coping skills
• Educational programs
• Outpatient detoxification
• Self-help groups
• Program for adult children of dysfunctional families

Treatment begins only after an in-depth assessment interview to assure that the most appropriate treatment is provided. Treatment goals will be set by the patient and therapist and treatment continues until those goals are reached. We believe in family involvement in the treatment process whenever possible to help strengthen the patient's support network.

Request for treatment can start with the patient or family or by referral from physician, clergy, schools, employers, or other health care agencies.
