Sleep Disorder

Sleep: Health and Restoration

Since most people need to get enough quality sleep to feel alert throughout the day, they should spend about eight hours per night sleeping, which is approximately 1/3 of their lifetime. Restful sleep is necessary for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Sleep is not merely a "time out" from daily life. It is an active state, essential for physical and mental restoration.

A sleep disorder may prohibit people from reaching deeper, more restorative stages of sleep. People who suffer from a sleep disorder may wake in the morning knowing that they have slept all night, but cannot understand why they are still tired.

*A good quality sleep is very important to feel refreshed and energized. Minor disturbances in sleep can affect your overall health and quality of life.
