Mercy Memorial employs three certified massage therapists at the Rehabilitation Center, located at 650 Stewart Road in Monroe. The program, which is under the supervision of the Physical Therapy Department, is open to everyone in the community, not just current rehab patients. The massage therapy staff is available for appointments between 9 am and 5:30 pm, and also offers a corporate chair massage program to local businesses.

All of the Mercy Memorial massage therapists have many years of combined experience and have extensive training in the areas of massage technique, anatomy and physiology, and pathology. In order to provide the best possible care for you, we offer a variety of massage styles, including:

Therapeutic
combines a variety of strokes with passive exercise, producing relaxation and increased circulation which helps to break the cycle of pain.
Myofascial release
is a gentle technique which loosens the connective tissue of the body.
Trigger point therapy
deep and sustained pressure on restricted areas within the muscles which promotes the release of tension and relief of chronic pain.
Reflexology
stimulation of acupressure points in the hands and feet which assists the body toward a state of well being.
