What is Home Respiratory Care?
Home Respiratory equipment enables a patients to be more comfortable at home. With a physician's diagnosis and qualifying prescription, the Home Respiratory Care staff can supply you with respiratory equipment such as:
- Oxygen therapy
- Bilevel machines
- Aerosol treatments
- Suction machines
- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines
Aerosol treatments provide fast relief for people suffering from some obstructive lung diseases, including asthma, chronic bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure is often used to treat sleep apnea. Sleep Apnea is a condition that occurs when the airway obstructs and disrupts the normal breathing pattern. This machine provides a constant flow of air pressure to keep the passages clear and open.
Oxygen helps fuel the brain and muscle cells. It enables patients to enjoy their daily routines and resume many normal activities. Oxygen therapy is available a number of different ways.
