Great Care on Fourth Floor
I am writing this note on behalf of my family to let you know what a great group of people you have on the fourth floor. During the two and a half weeks that my husband was a patient at the hospital, there was never a time that the staff was not available to help him or my family. They also would take the time to answer any questions that we might have and if they could not answer it, they would find the proper person to answer it for us.
Also during the last two days that we realized that he was not going to get better, they went above and beyond their duties to assist us in any way, from making sure that he was comfortable, providing us with food and drinks and even to have a shoulder to cry on. You should be very proud to have a staff like them. We also need to thank the dietitians for their concerns in making sure that we were taking care of ourselves and to Mercy Memorial Hospice for making him comfortable in his last few hours. There are not enough words that can express our gratitude to them. My family decided, because of such caring people, to make a donation to Mercy Memorial Hospice in honor of the fourth floor staff.
Thoughtful Emergency Staff
I would like you to be informed that my son was brought in to your emergency room. A staff member happened to hear me talking that in everything that happened, I forgot my purse and had forgotten to eat. She worked in the billing department and gave me her personal lunch and wouldn’t take no for an answer. She gave me a portion of her lunch and $5 of her own money so that I could get a pop. She also asked if I needed anything else. She sat and talked with me and expressed concern. When she was getting ready to leave that night, she came back to check on us one more time. I truly believe with people like this in your hospital, you honestly cannot go wrong. Thank you very much.
Helpful Radiology Staff
I wish to extend my compliments to the radiology department. I am so pleased with my care and service. The tech and radiologist helped me through a rather unpleasant exam and they were just wonderful. Everyone from the registration staff to the office staff in radiology and the testing itself was a very positive experience.
I was very impressed. The food was very good, dining area clean. I told the young lady how impressed I was with everything. She returned to my table with the Chef so I could inform him as well. I am a person that if something is not right or if I feel it’s not right, I am going to tell you. I feel the same if something is exceptional, not just expected. The food is exceptionally good and the dining area is very clean.
