Physician Humanitarian Service Awards

The Physician Humanitarian Service Awards Program recognizes current members of the medical staff for humanitarian service that is above and beyond the call of duty.
Examples of humanitarian service include:
- donation of personal time and involvement in support of a civic, cultural or charitable agency or organization whose mission is to benefit the community;
- extraordinary donation of personal resources for the benefit of others;
- providing professional medical services, without charge, to individuals or community agencies on a regular and consistent basis; or
- providing professional medical services, without charge, to a recognized medical service, humanitarian agency and/or organization.
The humanitarian activity must have occurred during the past year beginning December 1.
Anyone can nominate a physician by completing an online nomination form. All forms must be completed and submitted before December 1 of each year.
