Mercy Memorial Hospital System actively participates in Michigan’s Gift of Life program.  Gift of Life is a non-profit organization that assists in the recovery of organs and tissue for transplant and acts as a liaison between donors, hospitals and transplant centers.

The Gift of Life program helps to save the lives of hundreds of people in Michigan each year.  Every April, Gift of Life launches their annual awareness program.  In 2010, MMHS helped register more than 145 new donors to the Michigan Organ Donor Registry.
