Bone Densitometry
- This test is to assess bone health and osteoporosis risks in patients.
- Three areas of the body are scanned: Forearm, lumbar spine and hip
- A computer analysis is performed and a printed document is interpreted by a radiologist.
- A physician’s written order and scheduled appointment is required.
- The procedure is performed at MMHS Women’s Health Center and the Westside Medical Center in Dundee.
