CANCELLATION OF AN AMBULANCE

Licensed prehospital personnel may cancel an ambulance after obtaining Medical Control approval. This approval requires direct communication, by radio or phone, with Medical Control. An ambulance may be cancelled if a first responder has been dispatched on an unknown medical emergency and after arrival on the scene is able to determine that there are no injuries and that no medical emergency of any kind exists.
